I don't know if I was being really annoying or if Joe is just that nice a person (probably both), but after listening to me talk a bit about the recent changes to the user gallery and favorites (now collections) and the lack of RSS feeds for those things, he wrote a nifty bit of PHP to generate an RSS feed of a gallery given the dA username and, optionally, a few other criteria.

The code and a manual can be found at his blog [link] ; he has released the code under the GPLv3 [link] .

It currently only handles the basic user gallery--no folders, just what you get when browsing the whole thing--but he's said he'll consider adding support for folders if people ask.

Apparently there's a way to generate RSS from within dA, too, though you can't find it through the FAQ as yet (see FAQ #335: Are RSS feeds available?). The solution is provided by @sine-out in the comments on Joe's forum post [link] .
